PlayDays Drop-off Sessions
We love having
parents around, but we also know
that both children and their
families come to a point where some
extended moments of independence are
needed! But why would a young child
want to leave the security and
comfort of their own home?
Well, a typical
“PlayDay” is filled with laughter,
fun, playtime, music mayhem, drama
and make-believe, playground rough
and tumble, cosy quiet story
moments, art and sensory exploration
activities – everything to keep them
well and truly busy!
Our Curriculum
Our curriculum is
based on different themes, allowing
us to explore all areas of learning
in a relaxed and inquiry-based
manner. We will encourage language
acquisition, including the alphabet,
phonic sounds and pre-writing
skills, through daily stories,
drama, puppetry, songs, finger
rhymes and art. Mathematical and
Scientific concepts are introduced
through craft projects, nature
exploration, group games, cookery
and music… but above all, we want
every child to be socially adept,
chatty, confident and to love coming
to school!!
We also believe that
young children should have the
chance to develop real life skills,
so, for example, setting the table
together, helping to make and serve
their own snacks, clearing and
washing up are all part of the daily
routine!
